I could have done without all the doctor’s appointments, the hope-killing conversation and the esteem-shredding verbal attack, the carrot dangled by a vindictive weasel, and the costly accident involving three minutes between meetings, a pair of skinny Sevens, a toilet and my former iPhone.
But there were many wonderful meals (including my birthday one at St. Jack), some great runs, fun nights of dancing, trip planning giddiness, amazing (and amazingly paid for) shoes, and some exhausting but oh-so-worth-it lessons. Of course I’m also thankful for a solid income, a comfy home and five senses, four limbs and one mind that work.
I have no specific resolutions for 2012. I just want to do all I can to help it be a better year.
